I received a letter from my friend Christian yesterday. In his letter he wrote:

Dear John,
There are some problems in my apartment. refrigerator is not working. I saw mouse in the kitchen last night. ceiling in the living room is leaking. I need umbrella when I sit on sofa. There was a lot of water on living room floor this morning.
Could you please fix these problems this week?

Just as I was preparing to call him and tell him that I would help him with his problem Jackie, one of my friends, walked in to my room with story of her own to tell. She said "You won't believe what happened!
yesterday, I saw two students. One student was male, the other was female. They were having argument. guy was yelling at girl and girl was crying. I don't know what argument was about, but I felt sorry for girl.

While I was watching two students, man in black car drove up. He got out of car and walked up to girl. He was carrying some flowers which he offered to girl. She did not take flowers from man, though. When she refused flowers, man looked very sad. He turned to other man and gave him money and left. two students then left, too."

I told her that story was interesting and called Christian to let him know that Jackie and I would be happy to help him with his problem.
