There is a lot of confusion regarding Central America. People assume
that it is part of South America since most of the people who live
there speak Spanish. In addition, its culture resembles that of South
America. In reality, Central America is considered to be part of North
America.
Central America is a narrow strip of land located between Mexico and
South America and it is bordered by the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean
Sea. The countries that make up Central America are Belize, Guatemala,
El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama. Belize is the
only country where English is considered the official language.
